The Catholic Bishop of Issele-Uku Diocese, Most Reverend Dr. Michael Elue has dedicated and commissioned ”Jesus Is Here Guest House” of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, built and donated by the Executive Chairman, Green life Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dr. Anthony Chukwuka, and wife, Obiageli, at the Catholic Charismatic Retreat Centre, Ubulu-Uku, Delta State.
In a brief speech after dedicating the well-furnished gigantic Guest House, Bishop Elue described the building as very significant for the purpose it will serve and stressed that nobody, who did so much for God ever regretted it.
While commenting on the name, Bishop Elue assured charismatic members that Jesus is really there, citing example with the Biblical Zacchaeus and commended the donor for the gesture, praying for more blessing on his family.
The National Chaplain, Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, CCRN, Very Reverend Father Charles Akue expressed joy that for the very first time, they are having an edifice with maximum comfort, built by an individual to solve their accommodation challenges while the National Chairman, CCRN, Brother Uche Manu said the Guest House is a desire fulfilled.
In words of exhortation, the national vice chairman, CCRN, Brother Emmanuel Mobikwu urged people not to be selfish with their God given gifts but rather use it to build a better society even as he thanked the donor for the huge sacrifice.
In a speech, the donor, Dr. Chukwuka, who gave testimonies of God’s goodness in his life and family after joining the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 1988, advised Christians not to conform themselves to the standard of this world, but instead should strive to have a direct contact with God.
Dr. Chukwuka further spoke on the need for constant Bible reading and meditation, to grow faith and have encounter with God.
Correspondent Oggorchukwu Oranu reports that inspection and blessing of the Guest House as well as prayers for Dr. Chukwuka and his family featured during the event.
