Association of Transition Committee Councilors from Njikoka Local Government Area has commended the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Dr Uche Nworah for the crucial role he played in the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, at the just-concluded Anambra State governorship election.

The councilors, who were at the corporate headquarters of the ABS in Awka, said that Dr Nworah fought like a loyal warrior and showed exemplary faith in the APGA process despite all pre-electoral challenges that faced the party and Anambra State.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that while explaining the aim of the visit, the Councilor of Abagana Ward One, Sir Chukwudi Nzeakor, said that Dr Nworah alongside major stakeholders in Njikoka Local Government Area were critical to the landslide victory recorded by APGA in the council.

He mentioned other key personalities to include the Member Representing Anaocha Dunukofia and Njikoka, Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Chief Dozie Nwankwo, the Chairman of Rotech Energy Services, Chief Austin Oguejiofor, the Member Representing Njikoka Constituency Two at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Pete Ibida.

Others are the Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Creative Security Retired Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi, the Transition Committee Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, Chief George Ozoh, Chief  Chinedu Nwoye, Chief Ezue Nwandu, among others.

Addressing the councilors, Dr Nworah thanked them for keeping faith with APGA despite some challenges and urged them to continue to work as a strong, inseparable unit to achieve other future goals.

While stating that APGA’s victory in the election was the best parting gift for Governor Willie Obiano, the ABS Chief Executive Officer noted that Njikoka demonstrated immense resilience during the election, and proved that the people of the area speak with one strong voice.

In a vote of thanks, the Councilor for Enugwu-Ukwu, Ward One Chief Chukwudi Ezenwaka thanked Dr Nworah for sharing his experience with them, and for setting a worthy professional standard for the young people, noting that they look forward to his career progression.

Recall that Njikoka came fourth among the nineteen local government areas where the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, won in the November sixth governorship election in Anambra State.

The Local Government Area is made up of Abagana, Enugwu-Ukwu, Abba, Nawfia and Enugwu-Agidi communities.
