Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Public Account says it will visit all the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State to ascertain projects executed with funds approved for them.
The Chairman of the Committee, Sir Somtochukwu Udeze disclosed this when key officials of Anambra East Local Government Area appeared before the committee for the verification of their audited account for 2020.
Sir Somtochukwu also charged the Local Government Service Commission to organize regular seminars and workshops for local government staff to enable them discharge their duties efficiently.
The Idemili South Local Government Council led by the Chairman, Chief Don Unachukwu also appeared before the committee for the verification of their audited account for the year under review.
The Committee commended the Local government Chairman, Chief Unachukwu and other key officials of the Local government for keeping their records in line with accounting system.
In his remarks, Chief Unachukwu noted that the exercise helps to ensure, accountability and transparency in the Local government administration.
