A charity and non-profitable organization, ApostleĀ  Vincent Uzodike Foundation has marked the fifth year of its existence.

 

Chimezie Umeh, ABS Nnewi Bureau Chief reports that the foundation which was established to touch lives both physically and spiritually marked the anniversary with distribution of treated mosquito nets and other valuables toĀ  pregnant women.

 

In his speech, the founder of the foundation, Dr Vincent Uzodike highlighted his desire for establishing the foundation as well as the retreat centre for people to come and reflect on their past lives and repent from their sinful ways.

He recalled his encounter with Christ in one of his visions to champion the original practice of repentance and baptism by immersion.

 

Speaking at the event, the Bishop of Nnewi Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Ndubuisi Obi, extolled the founder for his selfless and generous services to mankind.

 

Bishop Obi challenged the congregation to serve God with the various gifts God has given them, saying that nobody came to the world without a unique gift from God to proclaim the good news to human race.

 

The event also featured visitation to the unity room which is also known as Bishop Uzodike Museum, the first indigenous Bishop on the Niger, Anglican Communion Right Reverend Mmadubuko Uzodike and choir ministration from Glorious Singers, Saint Marks Anglican Church, Nnewichi Nnewi.
