It was celebration at the Saint Gregory De Great Catholic church
Iyiowa Odekpe in Ogbaru Council Area as the Ultra Modern Church building  of the church was dedicated to God by the Archbishop of Onitsha , Archdiocese, Most Reverend Dr. Valarian Okeke.
The historic event according to our staff reporter Festus Obierika who covered the events attracted the parishioners, friends of the parish and some government officials.
Archbishop Valerian Okeke in his homily explained that dedicating a church building means  complete handing over of the entire church building to God.
Archbishop Okeke also disclosed that once the church is dedicated, the parishioners are also dedicated to God and as such there will be no more functions inside the dedicated building and charged them to
emulate the footstep of Saint Gregory De Great their patron Saint who is well known for love and tolerance.
The Catholic Prelate also said that after dedicating a church building ,no part of the building should be removed or renovated without the approval of the Archbishop of the diocese.
He maintained the need for the parishioners to always keep the Church Holy as a place of prayer.
Archbishop Okeke also eulogized the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Dr. Emmanuel Egwuoba for his efforts in seeing to the completion of the gingatic church building and extolled the parishioners for being supportive.
Responding, the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Dr.  Egwuoba extolled  ArchBishop Okeke for dedicating the church building and administering the sacrament of Confirmation a day before and described it as a mission of love while praising  the parishioners for their commitment.
