The people of Aguata council area have rolled out their drums in thanksgiving for the victory of their illustrious son, Professor Chukwuma Soludo at the just concluded governorship election in the state.
The thanksgiving celebration led by the Transition Committee Chairman of the council area, Chief Eche Ezeibe had in attendance the traditional rulers of communities in the Council Area, past chairmen of the council area and stakeholders of the area who converged on the council headquarters to thank God and acknowledge the people of the zone for their mobilization.
According to the Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata Council, Chief Ezeibe, the achievements recorded during the election is a collective one for APGA members and other political parties as they said that Professor Soludo was the “best bride for all right suitors”, and assured the people of the fulfilment of all the campaign promises of the party.
An APGA chieftain in the area, Chief Titus Anigbogu said that all will be rewarded for their tireless efforts during the campaign, adding that Professor Soludo is one who is always appreciative, and a man of style and quality, asking them to continue with their political meetings and mobilization of all those who supported the party during the last election.
For a one-time chairman of the council area, Chief Nobert Udoye, it is a thing of joy that God has continued to bless and safeguard the state as the true light of the nation as calmness has returned to the state.
Chief Evarist Ubah, who was the campaign committee Chairman of Aguata Council Area and a former Commissioner for Environment, said that during the electioneering it was very easy to identify light from darkness, due to the uprightness and laudable achievements of Professor Soludo.
He pointed out that their solidarity will continue to be a testimony not just for Ndi Anambra but the Igbo race at large.
