The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, says the Ministry will provide Nigerians with three FIFA standard functional football pitch in the country.
The Minister spoke at the handing over ceremony of the newly renovated Football pitch and Digital Score-board of the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja to the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, which was rehabilitated under the Public Private Partnership.
He said they have been able to rehabilitate three of the four major national stadia hence the Ministry has earmarked about three hundred and fifty Million naira for the Obafemi Awolowo national stadium in 2022.
Mr Dare charged the Nigeria Football Federation, to utilize the new pitch for the good of Nigerians as the Ministry has done its best to provide the needed facility.
