Anambra State House of Assembly has adopted the report of its committee on Public Account on the 2020 audited account of the twenty one Local government areas in the state as a working document.
The House adopted the report during plenary in Awka
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the House considered the report of the committee at committee on the whole.
The committee recommended among other things, the need for local governments to always follow due process in capital projects execution and monitoring, constant capacity building of local government staff to enable them discharge their duties efficiently.
While moving a motion for the adoption of the report, the Majority Leader, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor noted that the committee did a thorough job and their recommendations will effect the desired change in Local government administration.
The report of the committee was presented to House by a member of the committee, Honourable Chuka Ezenwanne,unbehalf of the Chairman, Sir Somtochukwu Udeze.
Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor commended the committee for making wonderful recommendations and read out the report to the House, while the lawmakers supported through a voice vote.
