Anambra state government will honour four hundred and fifty Ndi Anambra in February 2022.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C. Don Adinuba announced this when he received Coordinators of Anambra Achievers Legacy Award in his office at Jerome Udorji Secretariat complex, Awka.

Mr. Adinuba who assured of the support of the Ministry, said that Anambra state is a blessed state that has produced and continues to produce great achievers over time.

While stating that Anambra State is fortunate to have a great person like Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the Governor elect, the Commissioner stated that Governor Willie Obiano’s administration has performed admirably, particularly with the completion and inauguration of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, which was built without the use of a loan or debt, and the ongoing Awka Township Stadium.

Earlier, while briefing the Commissioner on the reason for their visit, the National Coordinator of the group, Justice Ikpeama, stated that the 2021 Anambra Achievers Award, themed ‘Aku-Luo-Uno Amaka,’ will honor thirty achievers on December 30, 2021, who have contributed to the development of Anambra State, resulting in employment and development within the state.

He said that the group’s goal is to immortalize the indelible achievements of Ndi Anambra’s proven integrity, particularly the great accomplishments of Governor Willie Obiano’s administration.

According to the Secretary of the group, Pastor Michael Obierika, the award seeks to motivate Ndi Anambra, particularly those in diaspora, to bring their wealth home and continue to develop the state.
