Anambra State government has continued to acquire more Schools under its no child is to be left behind policy.

The latest was the Community High School Ugbenu in Awka North Local Government Area.

Addressing the people of Ugbenu during the handover ceremony, the Commissioner for Basic Education Professor Kate Omenugha stated that Anambra State Government’s desire to bring education to the doorstep of various communities and ensure equal access to education for all children resulted in the acquisition of more schools.

In his welcome address, the President-General of Ugbenu community, Mr Godian Afah, on behalf of the community, expressed appreciation to Governor Willie Obiano and Professor Omenugha, for alleviating the plights of Ugbenu students who trekked long distances to other communities to acquire secondary education.
