Traders at the Building Materials International Market Ogidi have organized a special one-day crusade to round off the Year 2021 and thank God for keeping them in good health and abundant blessings.
The crusade organized in collaboration with the Anambra State Evangelical Team is themed “Righteousness Exalts a Nation”.
Correspondent, Chibuzo Obidike reports that the event which took place at the Building Materials International Market Ogidi provided the traders and the market executive a special moment to embrace one another while thanking God for a fruitful year.
Top gospel artistes led by Evangelist Joy Okam lifted the mood of traders with praises and accompanying the ministers to move round the market to anoint the surroundings for a better 2022.
In his sermon during the crusade, the Anglican Bishop of Amichi Diocese, the Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor thanked the leadership of the Market for their choice of theme of the crusade, saying that one of the greatest sins of man is ingratitude.
The President, Anambra State Market Traders Association, Chief Ikechukwu Ekwegbalu applauded the leadership of the Market for their togetherness and love especially being pacesetters and charged them to replicate the true evidence of the message of the crusade in their dealings with people especially their workers and family.
The President, Building Materials International Market Ogidi, Chief Jude Nwankwo said that because of the efficacy of prayer it became important that the market used a day to worship God and acknowledge His role and blessings upon them and used the occasion to exchange love and support one another for a fruitful 2022.
Also, in attendance were the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, the Most Reverend Valerian Okeke, the Divisional Territorial Commander, Anambra West of the Salvation Army, Major John Okpalaihedi among others.
