The Lovecare for the Needy Foundation in partnership with Sharing Life Issues with Ifeomamebe has distributed Christmas gifts to the indigent people  and Persons  with Disabilities in commemoration of its twenty-first anniversary celebration.

The annual event attracted over five hundred beneficiaries from across the state, who received different categories of gifts including wheelchairs, clutches, bags of rice and tubers of yam among others.

The Lovecare for the Needy Foundation in partnership with Sharing Life Issues with Ifeomamebe is a programme on Anambra Broadcasting Service Radio FM, which objective is to care for the wellbeing of the indigent and disabled persons, who have little or no access to basic needs.

The event, which took place at Amawbia, Awka South Council Area, featured series of talks on care for ears, eyes and intake of sugar for a healthy lifestyle.

Addressing the gathering, the host, Mr. Okechukwu Ojiakor, encouraged them to have faith in God and live a good life as no condition is permanent.

Mr. Ojiakor urged them to utilize the information garnered from the event to live longer and meaningfully engage themselves.

Sensitizing the peopleon health issues, some medical practitioners, including Dr. Newman Ilechukwu warned against the use of keys, toothpicks and other objects inside the ears while Dr. Agatha Muoka revealed some of the best practices to preventing eye challenges.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs. Ogechukwu Uchenndu, whose daughter was gifted a wheelchair and Mrs. Justina Egbuche, who received eye treatment, appreciated the host and attested that their lives have been bettered through the programme.
