The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Patrick Obalim-Udoba says he will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituents.

Hon. Udoba disclosed this during his annual end of the year Christmas fiesta with Ndi Anambra West, held at Umueze Anam.

The event which witnessed the distribution of Shuttle Buses, Educational Materials, Bags of Rice, Cash Gifts, Among Others, attracted Ndi Igwe, Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the All Progressives Congress (APC) Various Security Outfits, Religious Leaders, Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Political Appointees, students, teachers as well as the Anambra West Transition Committee officials.

Speaking during the event, Honourable Udoba  thanked Ndi Anambra West for their unflinching support since he assumed office few years ago most especially, the members of the opposition political parties in the area for ensuring that different party affiliations do not deprive them from finding a common solution to the myriads of problems bedeviling the council area.

The lawmaker who is the House Committee Chairman on Transport, noted that since his assumption of office, he has in conjunction with his colleagues, sponsored many bills aimed at alleviating the sufferings of his people, among them was; the bill to establish the Anambra Riverine Commission, which when passed into law, will take care of the perennial flooding threatening the means of livelihood of Ndi Anambra west and noted  that he has among other things distributed cars, Sports Utility Vehicles, Shuttle Buses, Scholarship grants which cut across all the Communities in his constituency, as well as educational materials to all the pupils within his jurisdiction.

He made it clear that he has facilitated employment opportunities for numerous Ndi Anambra west, ensure that students who are qualified to get admission into all the tertiary institutions in the state were admitted accordingly and equally secured employment opportunities for Ndi Anambra west in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

For the State Vice Chairman of Anambra North of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Francis Udoba, Honourable Udoba has done fantastically well, hence the reason they graced the occasion and prayed God to bless him immensely, even as the All Progressives Congress Vice Chairman, Anambra North, Chief Joseph Obidike, eulogized Honourable Udoba for living above board and maintained that all hands must be on deck to liberate Anambra West from the shackles of underdevelopment, which he said that the lawmaker has kick-started.

According to the Education Secretary, Anambra West Local Government Education Authority, Sir Joseph Udoba, Honourable Patrick Obalim-Udoba has been a prayer answered to both the teachers and pupils in the council area as his yearly “back to school” educational materials which is in its third phase has helped them immensely to enhance the mode of teaching and learning in Anambra west.

Earlier while breaking the colanut, the traditional ruler of Umuenwelum Anam, Igwe Mike Okoye described Honourable Udoba as one of the best lawmakers the council area has produced and prayed that God will grant him all his heart desires.

One of the beneficiaries of the shuttle buses, Mr. Chukwudi Mbanefo, also prayed God to bless the Lawmaker abundantly.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the event were, the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe, represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Tony Nwakeze, the traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam, Igwe George Obalum Ekwealor, the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Markets, Mr. Sunday Nwasah, his Agriculture counterparts, Mrs. Theresa Okoye, Former House of Assembly aspirant in Anambra West, Mr. Chibuko Enuigwe, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West, Sir. Sylvester Orji-Okafor among others.

Handing over of the shuttle buses to the beneficiaries, distribution of the educational materials, sharing of Christmas largesse by the Lawmaker among others climaxed the event.
