Governor Willie Obiano has been commended for all his efforts to transform Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The Traditional ruler of the community, Obi Gibson Nwosu gave the commendation while delivering his new year message in his palace.
According to Obi Nwosu, the recent completion and inauguration of Awka City Stadium for use by Governor Obiano is a clear indication that his administration has the interest of both the youths and the people of Awka at heart.
The Awka monarch, while calling on people to always protect government facilities in their various areas, charged the youths of Awka extraction to desist from acts capable of marring their future.
Obi Nwosu, who also spoke on the ongoing construction of an International Convention Center in Awka by the State government, described the facility as another legacy project of the Obiano administration, which has brought the community more to lime light, and expressed optimism that the incoming administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will consolidate on all the legacy projects of Governor Obiano.
He expressed hope that this year, 2022, will be one for great advancement for the people.
