The Global Initiatives for Anambra Needs has said that the restoration of peace and security of lify and property in the State is attestation of the fact that power, which belongs to the people, was well expressed in the November sixth Anambra governorship election which produced Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the Governor-elect.
The group in a statement signed by its Director-General, Mr Amah Amaonye, Director of Publicity and Internal Affairs, Pastor Onochie Okafor and General-Secretary, Chief Adolf Okorocommended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for translating the decision of Ndi Anambra in the election into a potent mandate, thereby making Nigeria proud, and appealed to candidates of various opposing political parties and their core stakeholders and supporters to concede defeat.
It noted that Anambra is in need of technocrats and experts of global repute, who can stand at shoulder level with world’s best leaders to present and or argue the case of Anambra confidently and convincingly, describing Professor Soludo as the most suitable for the job.
The group described Professor Soludo’s victory as victory for Ndi Anambra, Ndigbo and Nigeria in general, adding that it has restored a level of confidence and trust in Nigeria’s electoral process.
It expressed optimism that the incoming administration of Professor Soludo will   succeed and impact directly on the lives of the people.
