Primary and Post Primary Schools in Anambra State resumed on Monday for the second term of the 2021/2022 academic session.
Correspondent, Chibuogu Menkiti, who monitored the resumption of some schools in Onitsha metropolis reports impressive turnout of teachers and pupils, as well as students.
At Awada primary school four, ABS crew met pupil cleaning and clearing the compound as at ten in the morning, and observed a large turnout of pupils and teachers.
Speaking to the ABS, the Headmistress of the School, Dr. Amalachukwu Ezenwa, appreciated the impressive turn out, and called on teachers to redouble efforts in impacting knowledge on students, even as he commended Governor Willie Obiano’s worker’s friendly dispositions.
The story was same at Awada Primary Schools, where the Headmistress, Mrs. Augustina Maduakor, appreciated the turnout of both teachers and pupils, calling for hard work.
Also at Awada Secondary School, Obosi, the Principal of the School, Comrade Patrick Okechukwu, who stated that they had already conducted resumption test, appreciated the effort of Governor Obiano in repositioning education for better, and called for more assistance to the school in addressing some of its challenges such as accommodation, among others.
At Inland Girls Secondary School Onitsha, the Principal, Mrs. Ngozi Anakor called on teachers to set an annual goal, calling on students to be well-behaved at all times.
