Anambra State Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, has tasked school heads and teachers to show more commitment to their duties.

Professor Omenugha, who gave the task in an interview with the ABS, also charged schools on renewed commitment that would justify the state government’s huge investment in the education sector.

She enjoined parents and school proprietors to be steadfast in teaching and helping students to meet up with their counterparts across the country.

Advising the teachers to consider themselves as parents and mentors to the students, Professor Omenugha urged Heads of schools to work with the Parents Teachers Associations of their respective schools in other to build a synergy that would be beneficial to the schools, parents and students.
