The ABS Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has paid a courtesy visit to the Correspondent Chapel of the Anambra NUJ.

 

Correspondent, Chidinma Ikeanyionwu reports that the visit was to officially present ABS candidate in the forthcoming NUJ election; Mrs. Ngozi Obileri, who is vying for the post of Vice Chairman of the Union.

 

Mrs. Obileri is the only candidate ABS Chapel of the NUJ has in the forthcoming NUJ election in the state.

Chucks Ilozuo, who is the Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel, welcomed the ABS NUJ Chapel led by the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Comrade Ejike Abana

 

While introducing the ABS Chapel candidate, Comrade Abana appealed for their support, noting that ABS has the best candidate for the Vice Chairmanship position.

 

Some members of the Chapel, including David Eleke of This Day Newspaper, Kelvin Ekediegwu of the Radio Nigeria, Tony Okafor of the National Star, among others, asked the candidate different questions on how best she would help to reposition the Union for improved welfare of it’s members.

Mrs. Obileri, the Vice Chairmanship candidate in the NUJ election, while addressing the gathering, stated her reasons for vying for the position, and promised not to perform below expectations if given the mandate.
