The Soludo Support Group, SSG, has disbursed two point one million Naira soft loans to members to better the lives.
Two members from each local government area, benefited from the first phase that took place in Awka.
Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha that each of the beneficiary, went home with fifty thousand Naira to strengthen his or her micro businesses.
Speaking at the event , the convener and chairman, All Soludo Support Groups. Mr. Chinedu Nwoye, who explained that more people will benefit from the welfare scheme, encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity optimally.
He reassured the commitment of the group to the progress of members and development of Anambra State.
The chairperson of the SSG Members Welfare Scheme Committee, Mrs. Edna Obiakor unveiled that the objective was to empower the downtrodden within them to become self-reliant and testified that beneficiaries were carefully selected.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs. Onyinyechukwu Nwosu, Miss Blessing Ifitezue and Mrs. Ngozi Ofokansi while thanking the leadership of the group for such thoughtful initiative promised to achieve the purpose of the loan.
Comrade, Obi Ochije, the SSG coordinator for Anambra Central Senatorial District, during the event reminded the people that benchmark for qualification is that one must be an active and registered member of SSG while disbursement proper climaxed the event.
