The traditional ruler of Nando in Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe Frances Aghaeze has been certified the traditional ruler of the Community by Anambra State GOVERNMENT HOUSE
The presentation ceremony took place at the office of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Greg Obi.
Igwe Francis Aghaeze is now to be addressed as the Ezeodibeve the fifth, Nando, being the fifth king from Aghaeze dynasty.
Presenting the certificate on behalf of the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy matters, Chief Greg Obi, Mr Gerald Akaeze said having satisfied the necessary requirements as contained in traditional ruler’s law 2007 as amended, Governor Willie Obiano decided to acknowledge his position as the traditional ruler of the community by certifying him worthy of the position.
Responding, Igwe Aghaeze expressed happiness for the honor done him by Anamnbra state government by recognizing him as the monarch of Nando community.
Igwe Aghaeze said that he is already working hard just like his fore fathers to ensure growth and development of the town.
The President General of the town Mr. Christopher Nwakor noted that the traditional ruler is accepted by every onye Nando as he was unanimously supported.
On his part, the traditional Prime Minister of the community Chief Amobi Nzeanwuobi said that he is happy that at last, peace has returned to their community and said that they are ready to give the new traditional ruler every support he will need to enthrone peace and stability in Nando.
