Anambra State Government has presented certificate of recognition to the traditional ruler of Enugwu Otu Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, Igwe Emmanuel  Ejiofor.

He  emerged  the new traditional ruler of the community following the demise of the former traditional ruler, Igwe Emmanuel Obiora.

 

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye covered the presentation and reports that  Ndi Enugwu Otu Aguleri trooped en-mass to receive their new traditional ruler Igwe Ejiofor and  show solidarity at the Government House Awka.

Presenting the certificate to the traditional ruler on behalf of the state government, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Comrade Henry Nwasike said having been dully selected and presented to the government by the people of the community and after thorough investigation they found him worthy of the recognition.

 

Comrade Nwasike asked him to live up to expectations as  the community unanimously gave him the privilege to lead them and urged him to carry everyone around.

In her speech, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government, Chieftaincy and Town Union Matters Barrister Vera-Queen Okonkwo, encouraged the traditional ruler to ensure that peace prevail in their community to accelerate development and progress.

Responding after receiving the certificate, the new traditional ruler, Igwe Ejiofor promised to take the community to glorious height and called on  all aggrieved members to join hands as they have no other place to call their community except Enugwu Otu and thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his support.

 

The President General of the Community, Mr Nnamdi Ikeli thanked the government for restoring peace in their community, assuring that they will join hands to see that Igwe Ejiofor has a successful reign.

In their separate speeches, the Traditional Prime Minister of the community, Chief Mike Okechi and Chief Emmanuel Onyibo  noted that the new traditional ruler will use his wealth of knowledge and experience to reposition their community and make it envy of others around them.

 

Igwe Emmanuel  Ejiofor is now the Igwe Omele Ora one na Enugwu Otu Aguleri.
