As promised during his campaign and on the day of his inauguration, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has embarked to on the spot assessment visit to Okpoko in Ogbaru local government area.
Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that every spot the Governor who was accompanied by his Deputy Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim and assured to make the place liveable for the over 1.5 million residents.
He visited markets, schools, roads and other strategic places in the cause of the assessment tour.
The people of Okpoko were exited about the Governor’s visit as they trooped out in their thousands to welcome him chanting different solidarity songs.
Governor Soludo in his words said that the solution to Okpoko problem is already here and pleaded for their cooperation.
He further maintained the suspension of illegal revenue collection in all Anambra markets, roads and parks as the government will fashion out best modalities to collect revenue for government in due time.
A resident of Okpoko, Mr Paulicap Igwe while expressing joy over the Governor’s visit assured that the Youths of Okpoko will give him total support to achieve his mission in Okpoko.
Governor Soludo personally toured the Sakamori drain in Okpoko and promised to revive Okpoko by providing them with good roads, schools, quality and affordable healthcare services, good water, security among others.
