The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Charles Esimone has called on Masters in Business Administration, MBA, graduands of Unizik Business School to be good and worthy ambassadors of the institution, with greater resolve to ensure development of the university.
Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that speaking at the third convocation dinner of Unizik Business School held in Awka, Professor Esimone, harped on the need for the graduands to join hands in transforming the institution.
The convocation dinner marked the conclusion of MBA programme for the graduands who acquired Masters degree certificates from the Unizik Business School.
While congratulating the 2018/2019 sets of the graduands for a successful completion of their programme, Professor Esimone charged them to see their new qualification as a call and a challenge to make a difference, while being committed to paying back the institution that produced them.
In a remark, the Pro-Chancellor of the university, Professor Sulyman Alege Kuranga, who congratulated the graduands, called on them to be good ambassadors of the university and make positive impact in the society.
Some guest speakers at the event, including the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honorable Uche Okafor and the Chief Executive Officer of Neros Pharmaceutical, Dr. Poly Emenike, who congratulated the graduands, especially for their resilience and perseverance all through their academic programme, reminded them of the need to continuously read, research and keep flying the flag of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Earlier in their remarks, the Director and Deputy Director of Unizik Business School, Professor Emma Okoye and Dr. Chinedu Onyeizugbe, while appreciating the graduands for their commitment and disposition all through the programme, said they acquired the MBA certificates because the institution found them worthy in character and learning.
Some of the graduands include the Member representing Nnewi North constituency at the state house of assembly, Honourable Smart Okafor, the Traditional ruler of Ifitedunu, Igwe Emeka Ilouno and the overall best graduating student, Lady Chinwe Okoye.
The Traditional ruler of Nanka community, Igwe Godwin Ezeilo, the Director of Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, Unizik, Professor Au Nonyelu, and former Anambra state Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artwork, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ken Anierobi were dignitaries at the event that featured cutting of cake and presentation of gifts to the graduands.
