Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution congratulating the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on their successful inauguration.
The House passed the resolution following a motion of urgent public importance sponsored to that effect by the member representing Aguata Two Constituency, Honourable Okechukwu Okoye during plenary.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that while explaining the motion, Honourable Okoye said that Governor Soludo won the November six and nine 2021 governorship elections in Anambra State, which was adjudged free fair and credible by both the local and international election observers.
He observed that Governor Soludo came prepared as he has made six key appointments after his inauguration on the seventeenth of this Month, which he said signified a government that is determined to achieve the best for the good people of Anambra State.
On his part, the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Honourable Pete Ibida described Governor Soludo as an economic guru who will employ his wealth of experience to pilot the affairs of the State.
In his remarks, the member representing Orumba South Constituency, Honourable Emma Nwafor, thanked the Governor for starting very well by visiting inmates in correctional centers in Ekwulobia and areas in dire need of development.
The Majority Leader of the House, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor and the member representing Anambra East Constituency, Honourable Obinna Emeneka congratulated Governor Soludo and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on their successful inauguration and urged Governor Soludo to create the enabling environment for investments, even as they called on Ndi Anambra in the diaspora to invest in Anambra State to guarantee rapid development of the State.
On his part, the Deputy Speaker, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, the member representing Awka North Constituency, Honourable John Nwokoye and others described Governor Soludo and Dr. Ibezim as a prayer answered for Ndi Anambra.
Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor also expressed confidence that Governor Soludo will replicate his achievements in the banking sector in the State.
