A veteran journalist, Mr. Paulicarp Onwubiko has presented copies of a book he authored, for use at the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS library.
Mr. Onwubiko made the presentation when he paid a courtesy call to the new Acting Managing Director of the ABS, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze at his office in Awka.
Correspondent Njideka Okoye reports that Mr. Onwubiko who congratulated Mr. Okpalaeze on his new post, said that the essence of the presentation was to enrich ABS library for people to read as he explained reasons for his passion for writing books.
He said that the book which presented “three hundred and twenty-six Extrapolations on Fundamentals of Federalism in Nigeria” was a well-researched work that has been recommended for use in the institutions of higher learning.
Responding, the new Acting Managing Director of ABS, Mr Okpalaeze expressed delight that ABS received such books from him and stressed the importance of history, calling on the federal government to give history its pride of place in Nigeria.
Mr Okpalaeze who noted that Anambra occupies a prime position in the history of Nigeria because of the caliber of people it has produced, expressed happiness that the new Anambra government is also focused on remembering the heroes both present and past.
He urged him to groom the younger ones in writing and promised that ABS will make good use of the book and also help to publicize the book for people to know more about it.
