The Omabala Union has congratulated the governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on their inauguration.
A release signed by the chairman of the union, Chief Chris Okonkwo, described Governor Soludo as a seasoned technocrat, who has all it takes to move Anambra State to a greater pedestal in socioeconomic development.
Chief Okonkwo on behalf of the union, urged the Isuofia born former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, to bring his wealth of experience to bear in transforming the economic fortunes of Anambra State.
He appealed to the governor to remember the people of Omambala in his administration, especially Anambra West and Ayamelum Local Government Areas, which he said are the food baskets of the state but are battling with lack of basic social amenities, especially roads and lights.
He assured that the Omambala Union will continue to support his administration to help him deliver on the promises he made to Ndi Anambra during campaign and called on Ndi Anambra to also support the Soludo administration as he has started on a brighter note.
Omabala Union is comprised of Anambra East and West, Ayamelum, Awka North, Dunukofia and Oyi Local Government Areas.
