Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Worldwide through its vice president, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene has congratulated the Acting Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze for the opportunity to contribute to the reforms that the station needs.

Chief Okeke-Ogene congratulated the Acting ABS MD, when he paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Awka.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that while describing Mr. Okpalaeze as a hardworking staff and media guru, Chief Okeke-Ogene stressed the need for the administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo to retain him as the substantive Managing Director of the ABS, as according to him, Mr. Okpalaeze was part of the major brain behind the achievements of the ABS former MD, Dr Uche Nworah, and will perform creditably if giving the chance.

Acknowledging that ABS has maintained the lead in promotion of Igbo Culture and Tradition which Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo represents, Chief Okeke-Ogene solicited for more support from the station for the good of Ndi Igbo and humanity in general.

He observed that ABS has shown professionalism and has remained nonpartisan in its operations despite the fact that it is a government owned media, and asked the management and staff to keep up the good work for humanity.

Responding, Mr. Okpalaeze assured that the ABS will continue to improve on daily bases, as the management and staff of the station will not allow the achievements of the former MD, Dr Nworah to decay.

He promised that ABS will continue to partner Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in championing the wellbeing of Ndi Igbo which he noted is in line with the vision of the Professor Soludo Government of restoring the Igbos’ lost identities of core values, hard work among others.

He said that the ABS is committed to projecting the programmes  and policies of Professor Soludo to the world.

Present during the visit were the Director of the ABS Administration Department, Lady Tina Ekenta, Head of Engineering, Engineer Paul Okoye, and Director of Commercial Services, Lady Beatrice Akwanamnye.
