Churches within Anambra State Capital Territory have joined their counterparts across the state in a special prayer session, agreed to by Anambra State Government and stakeholders during a security meeting and is aimed at enthroning  peace and tranquility.

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor-Okoye reports that the prayer session was to mark the end of the  Monday Sit-At-Home  that started in the state on August nine, 2021.

At St Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, the prayer procession, which started at 11am and presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Awka, the Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, was well attended by both the clergy and the Laity of the Church.

At the Cathedral Church of St Faith Awka, and the Church of the Holy Spirit, Paul University, Awka, the special prayer started at 10am and lasted for one hour.
