Mobile Network users have stormed Telecommunications and National Identification Number offices in Onitsha and Environs over restriction on their Sims to make calls as ordered by the Federal Government.

ABS Correspondent Faith Onyemuche who monitored their offices in Onitsha reports that the MTN office at Owerri Road had network users in large numbers roaming the premises, while others tried to force their way inside the office to receive attention.

ABS crew that had interaction with the Branch Manager of the GSM Network company who pleaded anonymity expressed concern over the situation, adding that they are only attending to those who have their NIN, but have difficulty linking it to their Sims, as they are working with NIN to unbar those who may have been barred despite linkage due to error.

Likewise at NIN office in Onitsha North Local Government Area, crowds were also spotted trying to get their National Identification Numbers and officials at the office said that their major challenge in attending to the crowd was poor network due to online traffic.

Some of the subscribers who spoke to the ABS, messers Ngozi Okechukwu and Innocent Okoh complained that they could not link their NIN to their Sims through their phones which prompted their coming to the office.
