The legislative complex of the Anambra State House of Assembly was filled to the brim by Ndi Anambra from the twenty-one Local government areas in Anambra State as they witnessed the confirmation of commissioners designates by the House last Thursday.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that a one-time member of Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Paulinus Onyeka who is commissioner designate for Housing was given an honouraable treatment by the House as they asked him to take a bow and leave when he appeared before the House for confirmation of his appointment.
The same gesture was extended to the commissioner designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Honourable Tony Nwabunwanne who stayed in the House briefly.
Other commissioner designates took turns to explain to the House what they will do differently if confirmed by the House and sworn- in by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
In an interview, the commissioner designate for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Ify Obinabo, explained that she intends to use mothers as agents of change to fight moral decadence in the society
