G-50 Movement for Mmirioma 2023 has donated five point five million naira to the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly Dr Paschal Agbodike to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the Ihiala Federal Constituency election come 2023.
The group made the donation when they paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy speaker in his office at the state Assembly complex in Awka.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that according to the spokesman of the group, Barrister Maxwell Udechukwu, the cheque of five point five million naira they gave to Dr Agbodike who is also the member representing Ihiala Two Constituency was predicated on his excellent performance in the constituency and encouraged him to contest the election.
They disclosed that the Deputy Speaker surpassed their expectations through quality representation as all the communities that make up Ihiala Two Constituency have felt the impact of his representation.
He went further to say that G-50 Movement for Mmirioma 2023 is a group of personalities from the twenty wards that make up Ihiala Federal Constituency with the strong belief that Dr Agbodike will serve them better in the House of Representatives if given the opportunity.
Responding, Dr Agbodike who said his joy knew no bounds, used the occasion to declare his intention to contest the Ihiala Federal Constituency election come 2023.
The legislator revealed that the love shown to him by the group and entire Ihiala Two constituency in appreciation of his legendary performance has spurred him to aspire for the Ihiala Federal Constituency seat, assuring that he will not betray the trust reposed in him.
