Governor Chukwuma Soludo has performed the swearing in ceremony of twenty new Commissioners.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, retired Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi, was also sworn in.

The event took place at the Executive Council Chambers Government House Awka.

Government House Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that the Commissioners who were sworn in are:  Mr Ifeatu Onejeme-Finance, Professor Offornze Amauchea-Lands, Mr. Ifeanyi Okoma-Works and Infrastructure, Miss Chiamaka Nnake-Budget and Economic Planning.

Dr. Afam Obidike- Health, Mr. Patrick Agha Mbah- Youth Development, Mrs Ifeyinwa Obinabo-Women Affairs and Social Development.

Also sworn in are Dr. Obinna Ngonadi-Commerce and Industry, Mr. Julius Chukwuemeka-Power and Water Resources, Professor Ngozi Chuma Udeh- Education, and Mr. Paul Nwosu -Information.

Others are: Dr. Foster Ihejiofor-Agriculture, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike-Transport, Mr. Felix Odimegwu-Environment, Mr Paulinus Onyeka-Housing, Mr. Anthony Ifeanya- Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Mr. Donatus Onyenji- Entertainment, Culture and Tourism, Mr Tony Nwabunwanne-Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mrs. Silvia Ifemeje- Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Chikodi Anara-Homeland Affairs.

Governor Soludo in his speech noted that they are selected to be part of the team that will implement the needed change for the progress of Anambra State.

He noted that, driving from the agenda of his administration of building a livable and prosperous homeland, he expects to see the template of their fifty-day delivery adding that he expects nothing but excellence as they were carefully selected.

The swearing in proper was presided over by the Anambra State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Ngozi Iwouno

In a vote of thanks, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mrs Silvia Ifejeme assured that they will place service to the State and public above personal interest and to perform their duties diligently.

The State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Secretary to the Anambra State government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajuyi, Permanent Secretaries, among others witnessed the ceremony.
