The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says Easter which marks the end of the Holy week shows God’s abundant Grace and love for the faithful.
In a sermon at the cathedral church of Saint John Ekwulobia during a service to usher in Easter, Bishop Ezeofor maintained that the triumph of Jesus Christ over death has brought salvation to mankind.
He described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the foundation of the Christian faith and charged the children of God to abstain from those behaviors that will dent their faith in God and urged Christians to always forgive their enemies.
According to Bishop Ezeofor, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, his crucifixion death would have been meaningless and charged Christians to respond to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, aimed at salvaging mankind by showing him love and obeying the Lord’s commandments in addition to loving one another.
The Anglican prelate who Commended Sir Okey Enemuo for donating an ultramodern Musical organ for the growth of the gospel in the Diocese, charged Christians to always use their profession to work out their salvation
In a remark, the Archdeacon, Cathedral Church of Saint John Ekwulobia, Venerable Chijioke Nwankwo reminded Christians of the need to be role models by engaging in acts capable of winning souls for Christ.
The service featured a special prayer for those in leadership positions and for peaceful coexistence amongst the people.
