An All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, stalwart, and Ihiala Council Area Stakeholder, Engineer Ifeanyichukwu Ojiakor has drummed support for zoning arrangement for all political offices in Ihiala Local Government Area.

Correspondent Blessing Dennis reports that there is a formal, though not written, zoning arrangement that guides elections and appointments into political positions among the ten communities that make up Ihiala Local Government Area especially as it concerns the two state constituencies, the federal constituency and the position of the local government chairman.

Engineer Ojiakor, who hails from Uli/Amorka Political Zone of Ihiala, whose turn it is to produce the local government chairman said abiding by the existing zoning arrangement, will ensure peace and tranquility in the council area and such justice will aid in producing capable sons and daughters of Ihiala, who will help to liberate the people from the shackles of poverty and deprivation.

Engineer Ojiakor made this known in Awka during a meeting with stakeholders from the council area, which had in attendance the Transition Committee Chairman, Woman leader and other party members.

He said as a servant-leader who delights in putting the public interest first, he will continue to pursue the actions that will better the lots of his people.

Engineer Orjiakor, who is also the Ihiala Local Government Coordinator of the Soludo Support Group, affirmed that previous administrations tried their best but their best was not good enough hence, his decision to join in the race under the platform of APGA for the brighter future of his people.

The Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Paschal Agbodike, who had earlier declared his interest to represent Ihiala Federal Constituency, said he wants to change the narrative of the people of his constituency as someone, who connects with the needs of the people at the grassroots.

Also speaking, another stakeholder, Engineer Anayochukwu Ojiakor said Ihiala council area needs representatives, who will prioritize the need of the people, use the state resources to better their wellbeing and transform the fortunes of the area.

In their separate speeches, an aspirant for Ihiala Two Constituency, Mr. Chinedu Ukachukwu and his Ihiala One Constituency counterpart, Dr JC Mmadu said they were spurred because they want to be the voice of the voiceless in Ihiala council area.
