The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka ::, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has offered hope to Christians that through the death and resurrection of Christ, all their afflictions have come to a screeching halt.

Speaking to newsmen at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith Awka, Archbishop Ibezim told Christians to see this Easter celebration as a unique one because through the mercy of God, they were able to witness this year’s Easter despite all odds facing humanity.

Archbishop Ibezim reminded Christians that the world is in perilous times where things have almost collapsed, but through the spirit of Easter, all difficulties faced by humanity have been taken away.

He decried that the world is in a time when families can no longer provide for their daily needs, institutions have collapsed, and even the political class seemed not to have answers, but expressed happiness that God has the final solutions.

The Archbishop urged Christians to use this period and reconcile with their maker and accept Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.

The Prelate prayed that through the love of Jesus Christ and by being nailed to the cross of Calvary, all-mountain of poverty, joblessness, idolatry and duplicity of spirituality have been taken away.
