Anambra State Deputy Governor Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has called for a collaborative effort in the fight against criminality.

Dr Ibezim made the call during a funeral at Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata reports that Dr Ibezim who restated the resolve of the present administration in fighting criminality and reducing it to the barest minimum stated that all hands must be on deck for the government to achieve its mandate.

While expressing worry over a lot of anti-social practices being perpetrated under the guise of agitations which have led to the loss of lives and property, Dr Ibezim stated that violence is never an option, but instead dialogue.

Dr Ibezim who called on the people of the State to assist the new government in fighting insecurity, charged parents to always monitor the activities of their children.

The deputy governor also implored landlords in the State to always have full information of tenants before renting apartments to them, adding that with all these efforts, criminality will be eliminated.
