The Acting Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze says his mission is to leave an indelible footprint in the establishment.
Speaking at Nnewi when he led members of the ABS Think Tank Committee on Revenue Generation on a courtesy call on the Chairman of Innoson group of companies, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Mr. Okpalaeze described ABS as the mouthpiece of Ndi Anambra, and charged the people of the state to take full ownership of the establishment.
Mr. Okpalaeze, while thanking Chief Chukwuma for all his supports to the station, urged him not to relent, especially in the area of advert placement, and called on the people to always patronize made in Nigeria products, especially Innoson brand of vehicles, in order to encourage the growth of the economy
He said that the Anambra Broadcasting service needs public partnership, especially in the sponsorship of its programmes and coverage of events, noting that the Broadcast station has different platforms to showcase public activities before the international community.
Mr. Okpalaeze maintained that within the one month he has been on the saddle, he has introduced series of innovations to sustain the pride of the establishment as the image of both the Government and the people.
Contributing, the Vice-Chairman of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU, South East Zone, Prince Emeka Kalu, who described Chief Chukwuma as one of the pillars of the modern ABS, called on the public to always encourage Innoson group by purchasing their vehicles.
Responding, Chief Chukwuma, who thanked the Acting Managing Director of the ABS, Mr. Okpalaeze and his team for the visit, promised the establishment of his continued support.
He called on the public to always seek the services of the ABS for enhanced productivity.
In a remark, the President General of Nnewi Improvement Union, Chief Christopher Ibeh, who commended the ABS for the visit, called on the media to always lead in the campaign for the people to always patronize made-in-Nigeria products, especially vehicles.
In a vote of thanks, the Director of Commercial Services of the ABS, Mrs. Beatrice Akwanamnye commended Chief Chukwuma for his warm reception and prayed to God to continue to bless and guide him.
The Director of Administration of the ABS, Mrs. Tina Ekenta, the Head of Content Monitoring, News and Programmes of the establishment, Mr. Abuchi Nwozor, as well as Mr. Theophilus Ukoha, were part of the delegation.
