So was it for an Australian based Igbo son, Mr. Chisom Ezennia as he took his heartthrob, former Miss Chinonye Okafor before God to exchange marital vows.

Correspondent Faith Onyemuche reports that the wedding ceremony which took place at the Holy Family Catholic Church Oraukwu, was witnessed by the religious, in-laws, friends and well-wishers from within and outside the country.

In his homily, a guest preacher from the Vatican City Rome, Reverend Father Dan Onuorah demarcated marriage as a sacred union instituted by God and so, couples need to put God first in their marriage.

Reverend Father Onuorah advised the couple to always love, tolerate each other and seek the face of God at all times.

A special prayer was made for the couple, who were immediately received at the Ezennia’s country home, Oraukwu in grand style.

Speaking in an interview, the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Chisom Ezennia, who expressed gratitude to God for making the day a reality, promised to be there for each other even as they appreciated all, who came to celebrate with them.

Also speaking, the elder brother of the groom, Chief Ikechukwu Ezennia appreciated God for the success of the event while advising the couple to always love and confide in each other.

 

In their separate interviews, a close relative, Chief Joseph Ezennia and the bride’s mother, Mrs. Laticia Okafor advised the couple to understand that marriage has no formula, hence the need to be patient and always seek the face of God.

Relatives, friends and well-wishers, who spoke to the ABS, including Chief Peter Ezekwesili, Mr. Ifeanyi Solomon, Mrs. Uju Obinyeluaku, Chidinma Atakulor among others took turns to pray for peace and unity in the union.
