Anambra State ministry of Youth Development has in collaboration with Pacent Technologies Limited, inaugurated a ten-day digital training programme for staff within the twenty-one local government areas of the state.
The training, aimed at ensuring greater productivity from staff, will also help to ensure that the activities of the ministry are coordinated.
While inaugurating the training, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Mba, explained that the training is to positively prepare staff to key into Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s plan of digitalization to ensure that Anambra State becomes a livable home land for its citizens.
Mr. Mba also pointed out that the training will ensure efficiency and bring about better service delivery in their activities, charging the trainer to impact the necessary knowledge.
The Head of Administration in the Ministry, Mr. Ifeanyi Nwaolusi noted that it has been long such a training was organized for staff, the Acting Director, Youth Department, Mrs. Chito Osili described the training as a wonderful opportunity for staff to upgrade their knowledge, advising staff to make good use of the knowledge garnered.
The principal consultant of ‘Pacent’ Technologies, Dr. Ikechukwu Umeh explained that the training will arm staff with the requisite knowledge on how to handle office digital applications including learning basics graphics, assuring that discipline would be the watch word for all during the training.
Some participants, who spoke during the training, including Mr. Chibuzor Udeh and Mrs. Chika Obinwa, described the training as timely.
