The All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA has reassured aspirants of various elective positions in the 2023 General Elections of level playing ground in the coming primary elections.
The state Chairman of APGA Sir Nobert Obi gave the assurance in Awka while fielding questions from journalists.
Sir Nobert said the party over the years has entrench basic principles of fairness and equity in the conduct of its affairs to give everybody a sense of belonging and give them equal opportunities of actualizing their aspirations.
He assured that all processes of the primary election will be guided by the provisions of the constitution of the party to maintain transparency and credibility of the exercise as well as ensure that most popular candidates fly the flag of the party at the general elections, next year.
He explained that all the processes leading up to the primary elections including screening of aspirants have been smooth and hitch free and in line with lay down rules and regulations.
The APGA state Chairman enjoined the aspirants to avoid hate speech and campaign of calumny among themselves and uphold spirit of sportsmanship to maintain unity of purpose, noting that the party has massively grassroots support because of remarkable achievements of APGA governments over the years and is well prepared to record outstanding victory in future elections.
Also speaking, a community leader Chief Joseph Nwakibe urged delegates to the primary elections to support aspirants who are ready to provide selfless services to the society.
Chief Nwakibe asked political parties to enlighten their members and supporters on the need to register and collect their permanent voters cards to enable them participate actively in the elections.
