It was a moment of deep reflection and mourning during the burial of late Mrs Caroline Iwegbuna who was described by most who knew her, as a dedicated and devout Christian.

Late Mrs Iwegbuna, who was based in Enugu with all her seven children, hence the nickname ‘Mama Enugu’ was a woman who was said to have demonstrated love and practical Christian life as an Anglican faithful.

Speaking during the burial Service, held at Saint Nicholas Anglican Church, Achalla, Reverend Canon Gilbert Nwankwo emphasized that Christians must learn to live together in love, accommodate one another without rancour and put Christ at the centre of their existence.

Speaking after the interment of the deceased, his first son, Mr. Chika Iwegbuna, said his late mother was a family woman, who always advised him positively, lamenting that her presence and wise counsel will be missed.

Her daughter, Kate IG Okeke, a former director of programmes in ABS, said that her mother lived a simple life and had good relationship with everybody who she met in the course of her life and also held tenaciously to her Christian faith as well as raised her children in God’s teachings.

Another of her daughters, Mrs Obiageli Iwegbuna and a relation, Mr. Chinedu Onukwube explained that the deceased laid good foundation for them, as she was humble and an advocate of peace.

Some of the sympathizers who came to condole with the family, including Mrs. Chito Osili and Prince Emeka Kalu noted that late Mrs Iwegbuna lived a good life and urged her children and family to keep her legacies alive.

The ABS Director of Administration, Lady Tina Ekenta and the Director of Programmes, Mrs Nneka Ekwunife were also among those who came to condole with the family.

Late Mrs Iwegbuna died at the age of eighty-eight years.
