The remains of the Late Mr Ernest Azubuike Anosike have been laid to rest in his compound at Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area.
Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi who was at the funeral reports that Mr Ernest who died at the age of sixty-seven was a devout Catholic, a kind and generous person who related with all peacefully and was diligent at his work.
In a requiem mass held at his compound, one of the officiating Priests and Education Secretary, Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Reverend Father Cletus Chukwuemeka, in his homily urged all to live consciously while focusing on their spiritual life and relationship with God.
His eldest daughter Mrs Chinenye Nwankwo, described his late father as a man who detested troubles, loved his family and raised them morally and Godly.
Another of his daughter, Miss Chisom Anosike said their father was a good family man, regretting that his death was devastatingly painful and noted that people must begin to live right as death comes when least expected.
A sister to the deceased, Julian Anosike described his brother as one who understood the value of family and was always willing to help, while a nephew to the deceased, Mr Okwudili Anosike remarked that his late Uncle was a good man who was diligent at his work and tries to be well disposed to all.
A family friend, Reverend Father Ifeanyi Okpalaoka advised people to make amends with their maker at all times, be willing to help those in need and not be too materialistic, as no one knows for sure when death will happen and prayed to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Among the sympathizers who came to condole with the family was the Acting Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Gab Okpalaeze, who was accompanied by the Director of Administration, Miss Tina Ekenta and that of Programmes, Mrs Nneka Ekwunife who urged them to take solace in God’s words and be united while keeping the legacies of their Late father alive.
The funeral featured musical displays and condolences.
