Some stakeholders in Anambra state have continued to call on the major political parties in Nigeria to zone their presidential slots to the South-East zone of the country for equity and fairness.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka, an All Progressives Grand Alliance Chieftain, Engineer Chuks-Michael Mofunanya, said that in the spirit of equity, justice and fairness, all major political parties in Nigeria should give their presidential tickets to aspirants from the South-East Geopolitical zone of the Country, to ensure that all sections of Nigeria have a sense of belonging.
Engineer Mofunanya made it clear that Ndigbo have sacrificed a lot to ensure the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria, hence the need to avail them the opportunity to rule the country, as according to him, only Ndigbo have the requisite knowledge and the political will to turn around the economic fortunes of Nigeria.
For a business tycoon, Chief Chris Okonkwo, giving Ndigbo presidential opportunity will help immensely to douse the tension in the region and equally make them have a sense of belonging in the Nigerian state.
