The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Primary election conducted for various federal constituencies across the state was adjudged peaceful, free and fair.
Political correspondent, Stella Igboka who monitored the exercise reports that from the distribution of sensitive materials and the ballot papers to the election proper, there was peaceful atmosphere.
According to her report, election commenced at about one o’clock in the afternoon at Awka South secretariat, Amawbia, venue for Awka North and South federal constituency primary election.
There was also heavy presence of security personnel while journalists were restricted from covering the election procedures.
Earlier while addressing the electoral officers, the national officer for Anambra APGA national election and national financial secretary of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Carefor said that they are determined to protect the interest of all candidates contesting and warned that no one should go against the constitution of the party.
Alhaji Carefor, while asking the retiring officers to make use of the accredited material, urged them to discharge their duties in line with the electoral guideline.
