The Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Honourable Collins Nwabunwanne says Governor Chukwuma Soludo is poised to transform the state for better.
Honourable Nwabunwanne made this known after he inspected the clearing of water hyacinth that blocked the two Omambala bridges.
Speaking after the inspection visit, the Commissioner applauded Governor Soludo for heeding to the cries of the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, whom he said could not move their farm produce because of the water hyacinth which blocked Omambala river.
Honourable Nwabunwanne maintained that with the clearing of the water hyacinth, people of the federal Constituency will now move their farm produce with ease through the water ways and assured Ndi Anambra that the governor is bent on repositioning Anambra in both human, infrastructural and socioeconomic development.
A former Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Mr Pius Ifeadi, equally commended Governor Soludo for giving his people a sense of belonging, as according to him, moving farm produce from Nsugbe to Otuocha was very difficult through the waterways before now.
Also speaking, a community leader in Umuoba Anam, Chief Boniface Ilegbunam who led the team that removed the water hyacinth thanked Governor Soludo for giving his people a listening ear and assured that they will always support his administration.
