The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says the essence of confirmation service is to strengthen the faith of the believer in Christ Jesus.

In a sermon at Saint Paul’s Church Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girl’s Guild and Mother’s union for all the parishes under Umunze Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor charged the faithful to accept the Holy Spirit in order to succeed in all endeavours.

Bishop Ezeofor who maintained that without faith that manifests through repentance, no mortal shall see God, charged Christians to always create a positive impact where ever they are, reminding them of the need to avoid those acts that will portray Christianity in bad light.

Bishop Ezeofor urged Christian parents to make the Holy spirit the bedrock of their various families, and cautioned them against making uncomplimentary remarks before their children.

He cautioned youths against careless lifestyle which he noted will mar their future.

In a remark the Archdeacon of Umunze Archdeaconry Venerable Nwachineke Ekwueme and Vicar of Saint Paul’s Church Umunze Reverend Canon Jonathan Onugha charged those that received the sacrament of confirmation and those admitted into various groups during the service to use their new positions to impact positively on the society.

One hundred and seventy-five candidates received the sacrament of confirmation while thirty Girls were admitted into Girl’s guild and seventy-five Women into mother’s union during the service which also featured series of prayer for those in authority, Anambra State and the Nigerian-Nation.
