The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has cautioned Ministers of God against preaching the gospel of convenience.
In a sermon at Holy Trinity parish Igboukwu in AguataLocal Government Area during the collation and institution of Venerable Emmanuel Nwankwo as the fourth Archdeacon of Igboukwu Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor urged Ministers of God to always preach the gospel of Jesus Christ undiluted.
The Aguata Diocesan Bishop said that the essence of creating Archdeaconries and Parishes is to ensure rapid grass root evangelism, and charged the Laity to always support their Priests in order to record success in the Ministry.
Right Reverend Ezeofor who is also the National Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion EFAC Nigeria regretted the high rate of Immorality in the society especially among the Youths and charged Ministers of God to always aspire to Live up to the expected role of redirecting the Youths on the path of moral rectitude.
He regretted that many Youths who are Leaders of tomorrow are going back to idolatry, and charged Christian parents to always inculcate sound morals on the children from the cradle for them to be useful to God and humanity.
In a remark the Archdeacon of Igboukwu Archdeaconry Venerable Emmanuel Nwankwo who thanked God for using Bishop Ezeofor to elevate him promised to use his position in fast-tracking the Pace of evangelism in the area.
The Archdeacon of Ufuma Archdeaconry Venerable David Okpalaononuju who also attended the service called on Ministers of God to always engage in visitations, as part of efforts aimed at winning souls for Christ.
The President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor, wife of a former Vice president of Nigeria Mrs Ifeoma Ekwueme and President Aguata Diocesan Council of Knights Sir Isaiah Ezeezika were among those that attended the event.
