The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has said that former Governor Willie Obiano left office as a fulfilled public servant.

 

Felicitating with former Governor Obiano on his sixty-seventh birthday, Right Honourable Okafor described him as a committed and visionary politician, whose tenure touched the lives of Ndi Anambra positively in many ways.

 

The speaker noted that former Governor Obiano and his wife, Ebelechukwu made the state and the citizenry proud through purposeful administration which benefited a lot of people especially the less privileged and youths.

 

He maintained that the former governor recorded giant history by being the second governor in Igbo Land after the late former Governor of Imo State, Chief Sam Mbakwe to build an airport in addition to other numerous accomplishments.

 

Right Honourable Okafor while wishing former Governor Obiano long life and good health, prayed God to continue to protect his family and grant them their heart desires.

 

In a similar vein, the speaker extended his felicitations to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige as he marks his seventieth birthday.

 

Right Honourable Okafor, who described the former governor as a pragmatic and selfless politician as well as a great achiever, prayed God to give him more fruitful years ahead.
