Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo has said that vocational training would be initiated to keep occupants of Nteje Rehabilitation Centre positively engaged.
Mrs. Soludo stated this during her interaction with the people at the state-owned facility.
In her chat with those receiving treatment at the centre, the governor’s wife assured that she would link-up the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo to see that training for different skills is started to help them settle down better and become sell reliant when they eventually leave the centre.
She also noted that ten persons from the centre, who have been certified healthy and set to go home, would be given start-up support.
The Governor’s wife also commended the Coordinator of the home, Mrs. Ndidiamaka Obimma, the caregivers and others helping out in the facility, for their selfless commitment to mankind.
Mrs. Obinabo, whose ministry manages the centre, was also present during the visit.
The Nteje Rehabilitation Centre, currently has sixty-three inhabitants .
