The Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya says Ndi Anambra are witnessing not only innovation in governance but one that could be described as a model in Governor Soludo’s administration.

 

Speaking to newsmen in his office in Awka, Barrister Ifeanya noted that never in the history of the state have they seen such robust policies and programmes of government being executed simultaneously and with the interest of all strata of the society taken into full consideration.

 

He said that the Soludo leadership began strong by laying a firm base by successfully waging a stiff battle against insecurity in the state to the extent that today most of these criminals are on the run and peace and security is gradually returning to Anambra.

 

The Petroleum Commissioner went down memory lane since the inception of the present administration and noted various innovations in governance under the Soludo leadership like the digitalization and automation of the state Internal Revenue Service operations, declaration of state of emergency on all roads in the state, revolutionalisation of the Agric sector as well as boosting of entrepreneurship and posited that all these will open up more windows of employment for the youths.

 

Barrister Ifeanya described the modernization of the motor parks and markets management as yet another innovation that will block all leakages in revenue generation and beef up the state I.G.R and explained that government’s big dream of transforming the state to a liveable and prosperous mega smart city which must be actualized needs funds for its execution.

 

He urged all citizens of the state to join hands with the administration by remaining supportive to enable it lift the state to the next level, adding that they could do this by fulfilling their financial obligations to the government and taking full ownership of government property by protecting them from vandalization.
